About Fundraiser
Fundraiser by Linda Moss
Hosted by Linda Moss, this campaign supports the vital work of Dare To Be You(th) (DTBY) and Wema Centre in Kenya. Your contributions will have a direct impact, helping to build thriving communities for youth both locally and globally.
Will You Join Me In Supporting Youth Locally And Globally?
I will be traveling to Mombasa, Kenya, this coming January to volunteer at the Wema Centre, with DTBY's Founder, Shannon Tobin and along with other volunteers. Open to anyone interested in a profound personal growth experience, Kutana Wema is a once-in-a-life-time opportunity! Wema has over 25 years of experience in street / slum children related interventions and has qualified staff who are experts in the field of social services. This mission trip is a key component of the Hope Building Project—a collaborative effort to uplift communities by addressing both immediate needs and long-term growth.
This cause is deeply personal to us because we've seen the transformative power of mentorship and support in the lives of young people. A portion of the funds raised will support this mission trip, which includes a donation to Wema, while the remainder will help sustain DTBY’s vital programs here in our local communities. By contributing, you are directly supporting the emotional and financial literacy of youth both locally and abroad, equipping them with the skills they need to truly thrive.
About the Charities
Dare To Be You(th) (DTBY) is dedicated to creating pathways to success for youth ages 14-24. DTBY's focus is on building life skills, developing strong community connections, and fostering emotional and financial literacy. Through peer support, mentorship, and skill-building, DTBY empowers young adults to manage life’s challenges while creating a sense of belonging and unity in their communities.
The Wema Centre transforms the lives of street-connected children. Since 1993, over 10,000 children have been helped by its programs that provide education, nutrition, health, shelter, psychosocial services and family re-unification.
Thank you for helping us build thriving communities for youth both locally and globally.
