About Fundraiser
Fundraiser by Bolts Nation
Wow! What a series! Both teams fought hard back and forth and they put on one heck of a show for us fans. Both teams should be proud of how they fought in this first round.
So I made a post saying if the Lightning lose this series, I would love to organize a GoFundMe for a charity based in Toronto. Well, the love I got from both Bolts Nation and Leafs Nation has been overwhelming and has really touched me. Us fans are just people, and I believe people are generally good. It’s fun to talk smack and chirp but at the end of the day, hockey is just a game. A glorious, hell of a game.
There was one charity that specifically spoke to me that was mentioned; Easter Seals. Easter Seals does phenomenal work assisting with physical disabilities. From providing much needed expensive equipment to providing scholarships so these children can make a life few would think possible, Easter Seals provides these phenomenal kids hope.
I don’t want to deny these children a chance of getting some much needed help so as a thank you to Toronto for having great fans and for the team providing great entertainment, I propose we donate in increments of $19.17 in honor of their inaugural year. Alternatively, maybe donate $20.23 as a good friendly gesture of reminding the city that there is always a next year.
The quest for a 3 peat is not over! We still have something to cheer for in these wild playoffs. Lets give the children of Toronto something to cheer for as well.
