Bob & Carol Bellamy's 12th Annual East-End Christmas Food Drive & Fundraiser is on now!

With your help, over the past 11 years, we have been able to gather:

$37,377.00 and 11,303 lbs of Food.

Please help us make this year’s event the most successful ever as we celebrate the Season and the Spirit of Giving! Thank you for sharing & caring about others in our community! We are pleased to announce the return of our Children’s canvassing Parade which will be held on December 2nd.

During these times the Barrie Food Bank is challenged more than ever.

The Barrie Food Bank is serving greater than 3000 individuals each month, including over 1000 children. Your support will help to enable them to assist individuals in need to have good quality food on their tables for the Holiday Season and onward. The number of people using the Food Bank continues to grow - now up 53% year-over-year. Inflation is hitting families hard and they are seeing more families with children coming to them for food assistance. 

What we do:

In 2012 we began combining our Calendar delivery with a collection for the Barrie Food Bank. We attach information flyers to donation bags and then deliver them a couple of weeks before the Parade to the homes on our Parade route (plus to many of our loyal clients outside this area). 

We decorate a float and load it with calendars and candy canes, and Christmas Carols ready to play for the big day.

On the afternoon of December 2nd, we will gather with some of our neighbours and their children and off we will go on our Parade - enjoying the true Spirit of the Season - wearing elf hats and singing Christmas Carols as we deliver calendars and candy canes and collect Donations. What a blast and a win-win for our neighbours and the Food Bank.

Then it's back to our home for hot chocolate, cookies and chili to warm up all the helpers. Some elves are off to the Food Bank to deliver all the donations and get the results of the weigh-in and cash donation total from the Parade canvass!

It's a rewarding day for all involved and such a great way to teach children the value and kindness of volunteering to help others. Please help if you are able.

Christmas should be a time of peace...time of beauty...time of wonder! Together let's make it a special holiday season for all!
