Biking - an Adventure, a Challenge, a moment in Nature
For our love of biking and nature, Dheeraj, Parth and I are embarking on a 100km bike ride on the Cambridge to Paris Rail trail, the S C Johnson trail and the Brantford to Hamilton trail to raise funds for the GRCF (the Grand River Conservation Foundation) on the 25th of September, 2022. We believe, and doctors are now prescribing, time in nature is one of the best ways to heal and keep your body and mind in good health! We have been strong believers of the same and Ankur is proud to be a part of the GRCF Board, that helps GRCA (the Grand River Conservation Authority) maintain and enhance all the Grand River Parks amenities for all users. Thus, we are hoping to raise funds that can go towards the enhancements of the trails we so love, and so many of us use.
The Grand River Conservation Authority owns, operates and maintains many trails throughout the Grand River watershed, including four multi-use trails built on old railway corridors. Did you know that GRCA trail systems are not funded by tax dollars? GRCA trails are operated, in part, with money donated by members of the public to the Grand River Conservation Foundation. Support for trail operations goes toward annual maintenance and beautification efforts, and infrastructure and accessibility improvements. A donation of $30 supports one metre of trail!
