EVERYTHING HELPS :)
The Nova Scotia SPCA does so much good for the animals in our community, from cats, to dogs, to bunnies, to any animal down on their luck.
The summer season is a really rough time for them with "kitten season" occurring, where in the warm months it's the time of the year that most cats give birth, and the shelters get flooded and their resources seriously drained. I'd really love to go together as a community and help out with all the amazing things they do and try to help make their resources last longer. The COVID pandemic hasn't helped them out either, with less people being able to get their pets neutered and adoptions being strained, it's looking like kitten season is going to be harder than ever.
I'm personally really lucky I've been able to see this first-hand in that my girlfriend and I have been able to adopt two cats from them who are the best thing ever and are great little housemates.
So today (July 20th) is my birthday, and more than anything I'd truly love to raise some money for these very fine folks and I'd be forever thankful if you helped out. :) I'm donating all the proceeds from my app Apollo for Reddit today, but if you want to give directly please do so here and it'll go directly to the SPCA!
(If your employer matches donations, please look into that, yay for double donations!)
