Algonquin Pre-Service Firefighting Program: Virtual Boot Drive

As part of the Algonquin College Pre-Service Firefighting Program, we are participating in an online fundraiser called the Virtual Boot Drive. In the past, the Pre-Service Firefighting program has raised thousands of dollars through on-campus fundraising events to support students in need. This fall we are going virtual! During these difficult times, many students are being faced with stressful financial situations and are unable to afford the basic necessities. Through our firefighting training, we’ve come to recognize that doing something small can have a big impact.

All funds raised through this platform will be donated to the Algonquin College Students’ Association Food Cupboard. The Food Cupboard is a supportive service funded by the Algonquin Student’s Association and other community members, which recognizes the financial concerns of students. The Food Cupboard provides students who require the services with food and other basic necessities. Donations like yours will help provide more fresh food including bread, milk, eggs and meat to students in need.
