It's That Festive Time Of The Year! Also the time of the year when our Winter Bear has his birthday. When we asked ARMY about the cause they would like to support for Tae's birthday, they chose Disability Support & Care. Honouring their choice, we are elated to support Tetra Society for our 5-day Flash Fundraiser.
Tetra Society supports people with disabilities in finding solutions to environmental barriers, to foster independence, inclusion, and enhance quality of life. The non-profit recruits volunteers who, in collaboration with the clients, design and build custom-made assistive devices that are either not commercially available or cost-prohibitive.
The devices built by volunteers at Tetra support communication, eating and drinking, completing household chores and personal care and mobility needs.
Catering to specific needs in all areas of life, these devices also address the need for vocational assistance and participation in leisure activities. The organization also builds devices catering to the needs of children and youth with disabilities to promote more active and independent lives.
Your funds can ensure the delivery of this program and help the organization cover the costs of volunteer travel and materials for devices up to $500 per project.
