End the Wait- Support Survivors Now

When someone experiences sexual assault, having access to therapy supports quickly is so important. It reduces risk of developing mental health issues and hammers home the core message that we believe survivors.

BUT you may not know that in our community, only a fraction of the people who need this help are able to access it within a year of their assault.
This is because it costs $600 for a survivor of sexual violence to move through their healing journey with the Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre. Currently, based on funding limitations, we are only able to offer this service to 25% of those who need these critical supports at a time. We need to find a way to help more of the survivors through the aftermath of assault.

If you can give $50 each month to KSAC, that means we’ll be able to support one additional person in our supportive programs (individual and group counselling).

The sooner folks can get support after experiencing sexual assault, the better. However, with the funding we receive, we consistently have a waitlist of people who need our services. Your donation helps us be there for survivors and ensure no one is struggling alone.
