This year, you helped small charities benefit from great new fundraising tools!
This Thanksgiving Day, I want you to know how deeply grateful I am that your charity has chosen to work with CanadaHelps, supporting our ongoing commitment to meet the increasing demand for accessible, effective, and affordable online technology for both donors and charities.
CanadaHelps is more than a payment processor, we’re a charity too. What’s left of the small fee we collect on donations after paying credit card and payment processing costs is reinvested back into our work. We use it to maintain, upgrade, and expand the online tools and educational resources we provide to charities like yours to help you succeed in your mission. With every dollar raised through our platform, you’re helping to make it easier for Canadians to give, and to bridge the technological and educational gap between small and big charities.
This year with your support, we introduced a powerful Peer-to-Peer Social Fundraising Solution. In just four months, over 300 charities have used it to successfully launch their charity “-thon”, demonstrating the clear need for a robust solution offered at non-commercial rates and with no upfront set-up fees. In addition, we’re also about to launch an Events Management platform.
Having highly competitive and affordable online fundraising tools is just part of the story. We know the value of high quality education in enabling all charities to compete equally no matter their budget, which is why we’ve launched our first ever online digital marketing course and continue to offer free webinars to charities. We want to ensure that small charities are not left behind in the constantly evolving charitable landscape.
Imagine the change that could be made in the world if all charities had access to the fundraising tools they need without the prohibitive up-front costs – a charity with more resources and greater capacity is a charity with a bigger impact. I emphasized the importance of investing in capacity in an article I recently wrote for The Huffington Post Canada. Together, we’re working to make it a reality to strengthen the non-profit sector.
Thank you on behalf of the entire CanadaHelps Team, and best wishes to you and your family this Thanksgiving.
Sincerely,
Marina Glogovac, President & CEO at CanadaHelps
