Today, CanadaHelps is proud to have officially launched our new Impact Tool. It’s an innovative new tool which will help Canadian charities, like yours, to more effectively report on the difference they are making in their community and around the world, providing Canadians with the insights they need to give more generously. In this new era of fundraising one thing is clear: measuring and reporting on your charity’s impact is critical for retaining and inspiring larger gifts from your current donors, and even more, in developing and engaging your supporters of tomorrow.

The CanadaHelps Impact Tool is a new online tool for sharing your impact with Canadians, and is coupled with comprehensive educational resources to help you rapidly advance in your impact measurement journey.

New Online Impact Tool for Sharing Your Impact and Results with Canadians

The new online Impact Tool provides charitable organizations of all sizes with an easy, step-by-step approach to track and share the results they have generated, the impact they have had on the problem they are trying to solve, and their plans to deliver change long-term. The straight-forward tool is designed to enable all charities, regardless of size, to create and share their impact. The new Impact Tool is accessible from your profile on CanadaHelps. Preparing the content and populating it on your CanadaHelps page should take approximately one hour to complete, and we have designed 4 questions which once answered, will share your impact story. Once complete, Canadians will have access to the information they want and need to donate more strategically by understanding the need your organization is trying to address, your approach to creating long-term change, and your results to date.

Comprehensive, Free Impact Educational Resource

To help charities of all sizes become more knowledgeable about the concept of Impact, CanadaHelps is providing a free educational resource published by our partner PHINEO, a European leader in impact measurement specializing in small and medium sized charities, available to Canadian charities through their CanadaHelps Charity Admin account. The 130-page guide provides step-by-step guidance and practical examples to help all organizations on their journey of communicating and measuring their impact.

The new Impact Tool is an invaluable asset for charities of all sizes, as it provides a framework to allow you organization to start measuring and sharing your impact – to the millions of Canadians who visit CanadaHelps.org, but also to your own supporters and donors across your own communications.

2. Create your Impact page on CanadaHelps.org. It should take less than one hour.
3. Download your complimentary copy of the Social Impact Navigator. From your Charity Admin account, simply navigate to Profile > Impact > Education.
