YVR Art Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to the development and advancement of BC and Yukon Indigenous visual art and artists, supporting the vitality and sustainability of Indigenous art for artists, their communities, and the people of BC and the Yukon.

About YVR ART FOUNDATION

YVR Art Foundation was established in 1993 by Vancouver Airport Authority. With annual support from YVR, as well as individual, corporate and foundation donors, the Foundation delivers scholarships, grants and awards for BC and Yukon Indigenous artists. The Emerging Artist scholarship program, established in 2005, supports young Indigenous artists who wish to develop their artistic potential. In 2014 the Foundation launched a Mid-Career Artist Scholarship and the Masterpiece Study Travel Grant program, which provides travel grants to Indigenous artists to visit museums with important historic collections of Indigenous art. In 2017 the Aspiring Artist Award was created to provide support for Indigenous youth age 15-20. In 2015 the Foundation expanded the program eligibility to include Yukon Indigenous artists. To date the Foundation has awarded over $400,000 in scholarships, awards and grants to over 100 Indigenous artists.
