Our Mission
YouthWrite, a camp for kids who love to write...just about anything!©
We envision a creative immersion experience that addresses and promotes twenty-first century multiple literacies. YouthWrite’s most important theme is WordPlay, an integration of playing with writing; many of our multidiscipline workshops are conceived as meaningful play!
We believe that creative arts and creative writing are the foundation to critical and creative thinking.
YouthWrite Society Canada believes in and practices inclusion. We reach out to participants who are on the margins, whether because of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or for economic reasons. Inclusion and gender balance are also considered when hiring the instructional and supervisory teams.
