It's just a little over a year since my Dad passed away. He was a generous man who loved meeting people and was interested in their stories. He would have enjoyed meeting Hanan, hearing her story, and helping her bring her family to her new home in Canada. Family was important to my Dad and is important to me!
I am so thankful that I've had family close by, for my whole life, other than brief adventures away when I knew I would be reunited with them as soon as my adventure was over.
Hanan, who is the age of my daughters and is a student at U of M, is awaiting a time when her family can reunite. The YAAY committee is trying to help her raise the final $8000 she will need when her family finally gets approval to come as refugees to Canada. I want to do my part to help reunite Hanan's family. I hope you will join me in the effort, by supporting me or any one of those signed up for this "Trek to Turkey".
