Overview

In honour of Robbie Robertson, former Honourary Capital Campaign Chair of the Woodland Cultural Centre, who began his spirit journey in August of last year, a special remembrance and philanthropic concert event is being held. Robbie was an ardent supporter of the Woodland Cultural Centre who, throughout his extraordinary career, was enthusiastic about giving back to his Indigenous community. Following his passing, his family requested that donations be made to support the development of a new Woodland Cultural Centre.

This special event, entitled Robbie Robertson Reflections, will gather members of his family, dignitaries from the community, esteemed representatives from Canadian society, and those helping and intending to help establish a modern museum and arts centre at the Woodland Cultural Centre’s Brantford location. In addition to expanded museum halls, art galleries, and programmatic spaces, the new Centre will include a state-of-the-art performing arts theatre, something Robbie believed was essential to the growth and development of the arts in Six Nations of the Grand River.

All community members, lovers of Robbie’s music, and supporters of Indigenous art and culture are invited to attend. There are no ticket fees, however donations are encouraged.
