Overview

The Woodland Cultural Centre invites you to join us on July 18, 2022 at 7pm for a virtual screening of the film, "Hi-Ho Mistahey", directed by Alanis Obomsawin. Following the film will be a Q&A session with our Curator, Patricia Deadman.
In this feature-length documentary, Alanis Obomsawin tells the story of Shannen’s Dream, a national campaign to provide equitable access to education in safe and suitable schools for First Nations children. Strong participation in this initiative eventually brings Shannen's Dream all the way to the United Nations in Geneva.
Join us July 18 at 7PM; this is an event you won't want to miss! Tickets are free with a suggested $5 donation to the Art department so we can continue to provide virtual programming.
