About Campaign

My name is Sheena Darnley, and I am a 17-year-old from Welland, Ontario. I was born with a physical disability called lumbo-sacral agenesis which significantly affected the formation of my spine. This has taught me to overcome barriers and break societal standards. I have been playing para ice hockey since I was 9 years old, and my passion for the sport has only grown stronger over the years. I’m deeply honoured to have been selected to represent Canada at the 2024 Women’s World Challenge in Skien, Norway, at the end of October. Although we have received some support through our sponsors, we are responsible for the majority of the costs. My goal is to help our team raise as much money as possible to help cover the costs of our trip, ensuring that we are all able to focus and showcase our skills on the international stage. I appreciate all the help and support, and I ask everyone to please consider giving generously to help us meet our goals.
