We can't begin to describe what this team has meant to us through the year that we (Derek & Tara) both have had. These amazing women & staff have been a guiding light to keep us focused and motivated to push forward even on the tough days.
The team is headed to Norway and although we have amazing sponsors the price tag is beyond grasp right now to be able to represent Canada at the World Para Ice Hockey Women's World Challenge. This team is not funded like the equally amazing Olympians and Paralympians we've been cheering on this summer. In order to play, our athletes have to pay their own way to build the sport to the point where we can get Women's Para Hockey entered in as a Paralympic discipline.
This team is filled with Canadians that are so resilient, hard-working, kind, passionate and tireless in their pursuit of their own goals and providing opportunities for future generations.
