On November 30th, the WRDECE Status of Women Committee will be joining Voices Empower: Walk to Break the Silence, a 6km walk to raise funds and awareness for Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region and women and children our community experiencing domestic violence. 

The increase and escalation of violence against women calls for action. Thirty-two femicides were committed in the first 6 months of 2024 in Ontario alone. We must continue raising awareness and funds to prevent these tragedies from happening.
