It's that time of year again. On November 30th, we are joining Voices Empower: Walk to Break the Silence. We will walk 20km to raise funds and awareness for Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region and women and children our community experiencing domestic violence. This is such an important fundraising event for Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region. We are honored to play a role in helping raise funds and awareness.
The increase and escalation of violence against women calls for action. Thirty-two femicides were committed in the first 6 months of 2024 in Ontario alone. We must continue raising awareness and funds to prevent these tragedies from happening.
