On November 18th, I am joining Voices Empower: Walk to Break the Silence, a 6km walk to raise funds and awareness for Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region and women and children in our community experiencing domestic violence.
Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region provides critical front line support and advocacy for those in need. We know that there are systemic injustices and policy violence that make navigating, escaping, seeking justice, and healing extremely difficult.
Every 6 days in Canada, a woman is killed by her intimate partner. There were 30 femicides in the first 30 weeks of 2023. We must continue raising awareness and funds to prevent these tragedies from happening. Please consider making a donation to support my fundraising efforts and help me reach my goal!
