On November 18th, I am joining Voices Empower: Walk to Break the Silence, a 6km walk to raise funds and awareness for Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region and women and children our community experiencing domestic violence.
This year I had the privilege of being a part of the She Is Your Neighbour podcasts! Sharing my story and hearing the stories of others on the podcast has brought much healing and inspiration. Organizations like WCSWR help women and children move from survivors to thrivers. WCSWR is truly more than just shelter there are so many services available, including outreach programs. Every dollar raised will go towards these important supports. Help make positive change to our community - walk, donate, spread the word - be the change 💜
Every 6 days in Canada, a woman is killed by her intimate partner.There were 30 femicides in the first 30 weeks of 2023.
