On November 18th, I am joining Voices Empower: Walk to Break the Silence, a 6km walk to raise funds and awareness for Women's Crisis Services of Waterloo Region and women and children our community experiencing domestic violence. I am walking for my children.
Dragonflies are a special symbol for me, they represent our ability to overcome hardship. While my children and I have been living a nightmare, I found a strength and resilience inside I didn't know possible. We have healed thanks to the supports of our community. Intimate Partner Violence is a community problem and needs community action. IPV is an epidemic in our region, please consider supporting these vital supports for survivors if you can.
