The Whistler Health Care Foundation raises funds to assist in the provision of health care services, equipment and facilities within the Sea to Sky Corridor to meet Whistler’s urgent and greatest health care needs.
Founded in 1994, the WHCF is an independent registered non-profit that advocates for and financially assists in the provision of health care services, facilities and equipment to benefit our 14,000 permanent residents and 3.48 million annual visitors. To ensure that each and every dollar goes to where it is most needed, the WHCF collaborates closely with local health care stake holders such as physicians, nurses, medical support staff, local government, representatives from Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, Community Services and many others.
Since its inception, the WHCF has successfully raised funds for the building of the Whistler Health Care Centre, the addition of a CT scanner and ultrasound, contributed to mental health initiatives (including the HOpe Centre), equipment for orthopedics at Squamish Hospital, the Sea to Sky Hospice and much more. We recently completed a $1.5 million campaign to upgrade the trauma unit at the Whistler Health Care Centre. Our impact is meaningful and significant.
Thank you in advance for considering a donation to the Whistler Health Care Foundation and supporting Health Care in our community.
