At the Whistler Film Festival Society we know it takes a village. And it truly takes your support to make our programs happen!

Founded in 2001, the WFFS is a charitable, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the art and business of film by providing programs that focus on the discovery, development and promotion of talent culminating with a must-attend festival for artists, industry, and audiences in Whistler, BC each December.

Renowned as Canada’s Coolest Film Festival, and recognized by media as “One of Canada’s best film festivals,” “One of 10 amazing film festivals worth travelling to in North America,” and “One of the Top 7 film festivals in the world to attend,” WFF has become one of the Canadian film industry’s liveliest gatherings and one of Whistler’s signature cultural events.

WFFS fulfills its mission by producing:

* A highly respected and recognized international film festival (WFF) and Content Summit that draws artists, industry, audiences and global exposure for Canadian talent;

* Supplemental year-round film and event programming that enriches community life beyond the festival;

* Market-driven, domestic talent development and promotion programs with proven impact;

* Film and talent programming that nurtures gender parity, inclusivity and diversity.

Your gift will make a direct impact on the future of filmmaking in Canada and help nurture the talent that has always been at the heart of WFF. For our 25th edition, your gift will help ‘Canada’s coolest film fest’ continue to support emerging, diverse and domestic talent that includes first-time feature filmmakers, women with features at the fest, and more Canadian talent than any other film festival this year! In fact, almost 70% of the films premiering at the fest in 2024 were Canadian content! Plus, you will help bring more than 80 Canadian artists - screenwriters, producers, directors and actors - who are part of WFF’s 12 talent development programs, to the pinnacle of success in the film, television and digital media space by supporting our creative and business immersion experiences that allow them to advance their projects and craft. Your gift will help shine a light on the talented storytellers and filmmakers who make us laugh, think and give us hope in times like these when we need it the most.
