WHO WE ARE
The Western Environment Centre is building a community engaged in food and climate sustainability. Join us!
We are a very active, volunteer-driven community group based in Corner Brook, NL.
WHAT WE DO
We run many hands-on community projects like community gardens, community composting, fruit rescue, and interactive workshops on food skills and green living.
We also organize public events such as our popular Green Drinks Speaker Series at a local brew pub, which engage our community in important discussions on current issues such as transitioning to a low carbon economy, rural sustainability, local food production and much more!
Additionally we participate in public policy through government consultation processes and public statements on current issues.
