Our Mission

To share an enjoyable opportunity for Waterloo Region music-lovers, playing a variety of concert band music, improving playing skills, maintaining a high standard of performance in a welcoming atmosphere.

About Waterloo Concert Band

The Waterloo Concert Band was created in 1858 to serve the musical needs of the growing community of Waterloo, Ontario. As a non-profit, charitable organization, it has grown from its roots into a 50-piece ensemble. Performances range from formal concerts to retirement community events, park bandshell performances, and civic events such as Remembrance Day.

A unique feature of this Band is that there are neither auditions nor membership fees. The Band itself is a cross-section of the population of the local area: we have enthusiastic amateurs as well as seasoned professionals, including students from both high school and university. Our talented, volunteer membership ranges in age from 18 to 80.

Your donation helps us to buy new music, repair and maintain our instruments, and continue to offer concerts to the citizens of Waterloo Region and beyond!
