Wahbung Abinoonjiiag is a domestic violence prevention, crisis and healing centre, established in 1994 to empower children and their families to end the cycle of violence. Wahbung Abinoonjiiag (Children of Tomorrow) is an Indigenous non-profit organization, providing opportunities for holistic healing through culturally-relevant teachings, programs, advocacy and counselling. Our dynamic team of and volunteers deliver programs and services for children, youth, individuals and families who have been impacted by violence.

Wahbung Abinoonjiiag envisions a place and a time where children and their families can live free of violence, and unrestrained by the impact of violence.
Mission:
Our mission is to develop and maintain the villages of Wahbung Abinoonjiiag that will wrap around our children and their families to nurture their healing and well being so that they can take their rightful places in the world and the future.
Our programming is directed by the expressed needs of the community, gathered through our community councils, community connection initiatives and inclusive strategic planning. Programs and services are available for children (Moms and Tiny Tots, Traditional Parenting and Summer Day Camp); youth (Junior Youth Group, Senior Youth Group and summer employment opportunities); and, adults (Women’s Circle, Addictions Relapse Prevention Program and counselling/advocacy). We also offer variety of cultural support services (Circles, Ceremonies and Traditional Artisan workshops); housing support services (The Loving Roof Housing Program, Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing); and, wrap-around family support services.
