Overview

Victoria Literacy Connection (VLC) is arranging a fundraiser to support its literacy programming in Greater Victoria. The local live band, the Palamos Project, will be playing lively tunes from the past and present to get you on the dance floor!

Automatic tax receipts will be provided for all ticket purchases and donations.

About This Charity

Previously Victoria READ and Literacy Victoria Societies, Victoria Literacy Connection helps children, youth, and adults improve their literacy skills, including reading, writing, and math, by providing tutoring and a variety of other programs in Greater Victoria. Our programs: A) 1:1 child, youth and adult literacy - VLC adapts to the individual literacy needs, whether it be traditional reading and writing skills, getting a practical certificate or post-secondary education to gain employment B) Vancouver Island Correctional Centre - VLC provides volunteer tutors to support inmates to get their high school or practical certificate C) Noisy Kids Reading Club - an after-school program to support children with literacy issues D) English Conversational Group - to improve oral English before advancing to reading and writing For more information, kindly visit our website: www.victorialiteracyconnection.ca or visit us on Facebook: Victoria Literacy Connection
