We care for the poor, unsheltered and marginalized in our community by providing food, clothing, a place of belonging and hope through the love of Jesus Christ.

About Vernon Upper Room Mission

We are motivated by loving our neighbour the best way we can. This means that we cannot just stand by or walk past a person in need. We are motivated to act in love, give hope and a place of belonging. 

This starts with providing for the basic needs of the people who cannot provide for themselves. Everyone should have the opportunity to realize their own worth and be inspired to invest in their lives, but this is not always possible when you struggle to find food and have no place to go at the end of the day. Giving hope and inspiration starts with a warm meal, some clean clothes or a simple conversation in love. Through building relationships, we provide access to services and resources that lead to healthier lives.

To do all this, we rely on donations, volunteers and income from our thrift store, The Boutique. Every gift makes a huge difference in the lives of those less fortunate in our community.
