All Grade Fours Attend the Symphony!
We believe that children are an integral part of a thriving arts organization and a creative community.
Our goal is to engage and excite children and youth, by the magic that they will experience, when 40+ musicians perform together on stage. A great amount of creative time and energy is placed on the Symphony’s education and outreach programs and our aim is to offer as many arts experiences for students as possible!
Education Shows allow ALL Grade 4 students, their teachers and chaperones an opportunity to hear a LIVE symphony performance. The Vancouver Island Symphony has partnered with School Districts #68 (Ladysmith-Nanaimo) and #71 (Comox Valley) to allow every Grade 4 student to attend a live Symphony concert designed specifically for them. The cost to attend these concerts is only $1/student to the school. Help us raise the rest of the funds to make these special events happen year after year.
