Background

The VAHS Dental Clinic is in its 15th year of operation. With the support of administrative staff, dentists, specialists, hygienists, and certified dental assistants. We are committed to providing excellent dental care to those in need and it is the lowest barrier option to address dental needs for people in the Lower Mainland with little dental coverage.

Our Dental Clinic offers services including but not limited to: extractions, root canals, fillings, hygiene, cosmetic treatments, implants, crowns, bridges, veneers, and certain specialist related treatments.

Increasing Demand

This clinic is well established within the DTES community and the demand for our services increases each year and this often exceeds our capacity. With the cost of dental supplies and fees increasing, along with decreased coverage by insurance companies we are constantly writing off many treatments which is putting a strain on the clinics ability to maintain operations. Alongside this, the society is in the works on moving to a new facility (Indigenous Healing Centre) which is incurring extra financial burden.

New applications are accepted for the following positions: Dentists, Hygienists, CDAs, Chair Side Assistants, Office Assistants and general volunteers.

Sponsorship

You can be part of this good cause and be a proud sponsor of our clinic. This support will help us to keep up with our operation, purchase equipment, dental materials and others capital/operational expenses. Our accounting department will be happy to provide any tax receipts at the end of the fiscal period.

Our clinic accepts any monetary donation and dental related (equipment, material) supplies.
