UrbanPromise Ministries

UrbanPromise Ministries has two arms that fulfill unique roles and needs for the organization:

       - Promise Vancouver - serves and cares for vulnerable children, youth, and families in Metro Vancouver

       - UrbanPromise International (Canada) - provides support to our sister sites through UrbanPromise International with camps in the USA, Toronto, Malawi, Nigeria, Kenya, Liberia, Colombia and UrbanPromise Honduras.  We have agency agreements arranged with these sister organizations to allow Canadian donors to support these ministries by giving through UrbanPromise Ministries.

Promise Vancouver

Promise Vancouver is rooted in a deeply held belief that every child is inherently valuable and loved and has the potential to be a wellspring of life in the communities they are part of. Working in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside neighbourhood, it is our mission to guide children to find security in knowing this important truth through intentional out-of-school programming and meaningful relationships. As these children grow older, we give them opportunities to lead and mentor their younger peers, driving restoration within a broken community. Our staff also mentor and support them as they navigate their own transition into adulthood.

When you give to Promise Vancouver, you help to provide children with a safe place to learn, play, and grow; to empower the next generation of leaders by employing and mentoring local teens; and to ensure that Promise Vancouver can continue making a difference in the Downtown Eastside community for many years to come.
