The Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) Community Society is a registered charity that empowers səlilwətaɬ / Tsleil-Waututh Nation Members through small grants that support community-led projects in education, culture, wellness, the environment, and sports.
Since 2011, we’ve supported just over 100 grants, each one helping to strengthen community connection, promote healing, and revitalize Tsleil-Waututh heritage. These grants fund:
- Education and training programs that open doors to meaningful employment
- Cultural revitalization through language, songs, dances, weaving, carving, and canoeing
- Land-based wellness activities that address the intergenerational impacts of colonization and residential schools
- Environmental stewardship rooted in ancestral knowledge
- Recreational opportunities that remove barriers for Tsleil-Waututh youth
Each project is created and led by a Member - one Member, one project, one story at a time.
