I am participating in a Hike for Hospice on May 4th with the United4Hospice Team. Through our family's journey with Doug's sister Miriam Gracey and the Emmanual House Hospice in Hamilton, it is so important to have a hospice in our community.
Miriam was a resident in Emmanual House Hospice in Hamilton for 3.5 months in 2023. The hospice provided her with comfort from pain and dignity to the end of her journey, and support for us, her family.
Please support my effort to see a hospice in our community. The Townsend Smith Foundation has purchased land at the corner of 5 sideroad and Trafalger Rd (currently the site of Hillcrest United Church), and design architects have been hired. The critical need now is to raise funds to begin the build.
