On a normal day 200,293 kids across our city get nutritious breakfasts and snacks through their school-based Student Nutrition Programs; but these are not normal times. Schools are closed and children are still hungry. To help fill this gap, we have been working with our partners to find a way to get food out to kids who need it, in the safest and fastest way possible. Working closely with the school boards and volunteers from KPMG, we have developed a process, now in place, to get food cards out to the families of children in need. Each child will receive a $50 food card, which is the cost of breakfast for 30 days.
