Mission

At Three Oaks Foundation, we are committed to the promotion of equality and the end of violence against women and children.

Three Oaks will:

1. Provide temporary shelter to women and children

2. Provide nonjudgmental, supportive counselling from a feminist perspective

3. Advocate on behalf of women and children

4. Educate the public about violence against women and children.

Three Oaks, as part of a comprehensive network of services for women and children who have been victimized by violence. We operate within a feminist perspective.

For the purpose of this mandate, feminism means recognizing the oppression of women and demonstrating a commitment to:

  • Respecting individual differences,
  • Respecting the rights of all persons,
  • Working towards equality for all women,
  • Ensuring accessibility of all services,
  • Providing opportunity, and protecting the right to exercise choice within an equal society.

About THREE OAKS FOUNDATION

Three Oaks Shelter and Services provides safe shelter, counselling and support services to abused women and their children.

Three Oaks offers:

  • 24/7 Crisis Line,
  • 24/7 Emergency Shelter,
  • Outreach Services, 
  • Family Court Support Program,
  • Transitional Support Program,
  • Children's Outreach Program,
  • Second Stage Housing - Rent Geared to Income,
  • Safety Planning,
  • Support in finding and maintaining safe housing,
  • Interpreters, 
  • Volunteer Opportunities and 
  • Student Placement Opportunities. 

Through these outreach programs, we offer individual counselling for women and children and support groups for women and children. 

At Three Oaks Foundation, we play a role in prevention and education through our Training and Education program. 

Our Training and Education program offers: 

  • Public education sessions and workshops,
  • Supports Three Oaks in raising awareness of services and the epidemic of intimate partner violence.
