About THOMPSON HOMELESS SHELTER INC.

In order to access the Thompson Homeless Shelter, clients must not have alternative housing; if they meet these requirements, we can offer clients; 24/7/365 operating services, three meals a day and an evening snack, a warm and safe place to stay the night for 24 clients , plus daytime Aboriginal culturally sensitive programming and continual referrals and advocating for up to 40 clients a day.

The Canadian Mental Health Association adopted the homeless shelter in 2008 since then we have offered numerous programs to help the clients in many different areas of their life. The Thompson Homeless Shelter works closely with CMHA to utilize their programs, support and services to further assist the clients. The shelter is so much more than just a safe place for the homeless population to stay; it is a full spectrum service that strives to improve the lives of everyone that steps through its doors.
