About THERAPEUTIC PAWS OF CANADA

Therapeutic Paws of Canada (TPOC) is a volunteer-based, registered charity providing free therapy pet visitations to seniors, children and youth.  Currently over 500 volunteers across Canada donate more than 100,000 hours of their time annually to the various programs offered.  The organization is stewarded by an elected volunteer Board of Directors.  100% of each donation is used to fund the expansion of the following programs across Canada:

Paws With Love To Share™ provides therapy dog and cat visitation programs for seniors. 

Our Paws To Read® program is offered to primary schools and libraries free of charge to assist children that struggle with reading. 

PAWS Room visits are offered to secondary and post secondary schools for student stress relief and to companies to enhance employee wellness days.   

The Support Pet program is designed to accommodate a specific request from an agency such as the Ministry of the Attorney General to provide emotional support to their client.  

Paws for Comfort visitations with first responders, front line workers, shelters, hospices, disaster sites, grief/loss support, school crisis support. 

The Paws-Abilities program works with occupational therapists and professionals in the field to assist those with mental, physical, emotional, and trauma induced disabilities.
