Problem

Community prosperity is threatened by the cost of:

- Too much waste (e.g. catastrophic climate change, unsustainable landfills, water insecurity)

- Too much want (e.g., poverty, homelessness, unemployment)

Intervention

Turn costs into capacity by:

- Utilizing volunteer labour to turn reused materials into goods and services that are

relevant to the community and support positive health outcomes

- Locally distributing the goods and services at no-to-low cost, with a focus on youth

The WRENCH builds healthier, wealthier and happier communities by using reclaimed materials and volunteer labour to remove barriers to the many benefits of bicycle use. WRENCH programming provides people with material resources and meaningful strength-based learning opportunities that have immediate, tangible benefits. Our participants see bicycles as a powerful tool to address a range of social and environmental issues that are very important to them.
