About The Winnipeg Humane Society
The Winnipeg Humane Society (WHS) is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that handles over 10,000 animalsin the community each year. Without the generous support from the community, WHS could not shelter, feed and provide medical assistance to the thousands of lost and abandoned animals that pass through its doors, nor strive to educate and support the community through a variety of programs directed to children, teens and adults, including, obedience classes, spring and summer camps for kids, youth at risk programs, pet therapy to senior complexes, as well as educational workshops such as what to consider when adopting a family pet. In addition, WHS works to combat pet overpopulation with SNAP – a subsidized spay and neuter program, for those living on fixed incomes or social assistance, along with other community outreach initiatives. For more information on WHS and to learn how your donation will help, call 204-982-2041 or visit us at www.winnipeghumanesociety.ca.
