The Urban Haven Project celebrates 8 years of service in 2023-4! Our head office is now in Midland ON. However we continue to serve seniors and families in London, Barrie, Midland and Penetanguishene Ontario.
With the help from many corporate and community partnerships we are able to offer free food to those struggling daily to get ahead. Covid19 has been hard on all of us, but those living below the poverty line are still struggling.
New in 2023-24, Urban Haven is now reaching out to seniors in the Barrie, Orillia, Midland and Penetanguishene areas in addition to London where we began 8 years ago
We have targeted areas in which we serve. Free groceries is only one of the services we provide. Loneliness is the main problem for many seniors, so we spend time in conversation while we visit.
