We believe that children should “have the world by the tail”. For some this is more difficult than for others. They try to listen, they try to understand, they try to learn but they just can't. These children often have dyslexia, a condition that changes the way the brain processes information. These children learn differently.
The London Scottish Rite Learning Centre exists to provide one-on-one remedial tutoring to these children, without any charge to the families of the children accepted for the tutoring program.
Volunteer tutors receive extensive, in-depth training in the Orton-Gillingham Method by a certificated trainer, again, at no cost to them.
