My beloved daughter Mia - a bright witty deeply caring soul - struggled with BPD. She died by suicide in 2019.

Mia dreamed of a world where she could tell her story - and hear others tell theirs. She wished for equity of treatment for mental and physical health challenges. She longed to end stigma silence fear and shame. Me, too.

Mia loved that I was involved with Sashbear Foundation, and wanted to see more compassion-based education about BPD.  For every moment you've ever wished it could be another way...
