The Salvation Army provides hope and support for struggling people in more than 400 communities across Canada. We often attend to the basic necessities of life by providing nutritious meals, warm clothing, safe shelter, and life-changing programs.

The number of neighbours struggling in Canada is staggering:

• one-third of food bank users are children and youth
• 3 million children live in poverty
• 7 million Canadians live in food insecure households, and
• 235,000 Canadians access homeless emergency services or sleep outside every year

But the good news is that your generous support has allowed us to:

• help more than 2.6 million individuals, families, and children
• serve 3.7 million meals at shelters and in feeding programs
• support 1.4 million people with food, clothing or practical assistance
