The Princess of Wales’ Own Regiment (PWOR) Foundation is a charity approved and registered by CCRA since April 22, 2010.
Its objects are, as they pertain to the regiment after which the Foundation is named, are:
- Public education,
- Heritage preservation
- Public welfare.
Hence the Foundation supports
- Commemorative events
- Research and publication about the history of the unit and of Kingston,
- The regimental museum and library,
- The historic edifice known as the Kingston Armories,
- The advancement of public knowledge of the unit and of the Canadian Forces and of Canada’s military history, with special emphasis on Kingston.
