About PHI DELTA THETA CANADIAN FOUNDATION

Since 1974 the Phi Delta Theta Canadian Foundation has awarded more than $400,000 to 400 undergraduates from every Canadian university where the fraternity has a chapter, all thanks to the generosity of Phi Delt alumni living in Canada.

Scholarship and leadership candidates are nominated annually by the undergraduate brothers of Canadian chapters. We also encourage undergraduates who are not members of the fraternity to apply for awards.

The Foundation reviews the applications and determines winners and award amounts using the following criteria: campus and community involvement and leadership, academic standing, letters of reference, and financial need.

The most outstanding scholarship recipient each year is recognized as the J. Fred Green Scholarship winner.  In 2016 we awarded our first leadership-focused awards in addition to annual scholarships.  The top leadership award winner is recognized as the Grant Loree Leadership Award winner.

The Foundation's Board of Directors includes alumni from across Canada.

Donations are gratefully accepted from alumni and undergraduate brothers alike, as well as from others wishing to support us.

The foundation is a registered charity, recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency (119219624RR0001). Tax receipts are issued for all donations.
