PHS Polite Pooch Adult Dog Group Class March 6-April 10 at 5pm-6pm

All dog guardians want to be able to trust their dog will respond to known cues and behave appropriately when in a public spaces. In order to have success with these goals, we need to work with our dogs to teach them the important skills we want them to know. In this class, you and your dog will work on building a strong bond through positive reinforcement-based training methods. You will learn how to teach your dog basic skills including focus exercises, leash walking, impulse control, and other essentials. You will also learn how to most effectively communicate with your dog and read your dog’s signals so that you have a better understanding of why they do the things they do. 

These classes are limited to 4 dogs which makes it easier for your dog to learn but still adds the element of distractions. This class is suitable for dogs 16 weeks of age and up and dogs must be up to date on their core vaccines, including rabies. 

This class is not suitable for dogs who display reactivity to people or other dogs or who have displayed aggression towards people or other dogs. If you aren’t sure if this class is right for you, email j.tartaglia@ptbohs.com to discuss your options.
