About THE PERTH AND DISTRICT COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
Founded in 2002, the PDCF builds community in the Town of Perth, the Townships of Tay Valley, Lanark Highlands and Drummond/North Elmsley.
We do this by:
~ encouraging donors to contribute in ways that will create a healthy, inclusive and equitable community
~ investing endowments in a permanent, professionally managed trust;
~ using a percentage of the funds' earnings to provide grants for a broad range of community enrichment activities while maintaining and expanding the endowment for future generations.
~ being governed by Board of Directors that is community-appointed
~ employing one part-time staff person who is the Executive Director
~ facilitating the collaboration of various community-based organizations in order to enable an coordinated, integrated approach to community enhancement.
~ working in consultation with other community foundations across Canada through our membership in Community Foundations of Canada.
