St. Jude's has been the spiritual home for many Iqalummiut and is one of two churches in the Parish of St. Simon & St. Jude, which also includes St. Simon's in nearby Apex.
It is the Cathedral church of the Anglican Diocese of the Arctic, which includes Nunavut, Nunavik (northern Quebec) and the Northwest Territories. (The Synod Office for the Diocese is located in Yellowknife).
