Founded by the Sisters of St. Ann in 1941, Mount St. Mary Hospital is a home for those who are unable to care for themselves but don’t need acute care services. At Mount St. Mary, we embrace a Home Life Model of Care and strive to alleviate loneliness, helplessness and boredom by offering a variety of living spaces, and engaging residents, to the greatest extent possible, in meaningful activities of daily living.

But we can’t do it without YOU.

Although essential to the health and well-being of our residents, government funding covers only a fraction of the cost of hospital equipment, caregiver education, activities and supportive programs for residents. Your gift enhances the care, comfort, dignity and respect of vulnerable members of our community.

Your help provides equipment, programs and services to increase the standard of care for the 250-275 residents and their families who call Mount St. Mary home every year. This includes things like: 

• Music therapy
• Art group
• Spiritual care
• Therapeutic equipment
• Room renovations to ensure safety, comfort and accessibility
